Hey! My name is Jairo A. I'm from El Salvador. When I first got in the radio station I felt strange because I had never been in a radio station before, especially because in this show I was going to talk about myself. When I pronounced the first word wrong, I felt like all of the people would laugh at this and then I started to feel a little embarrassed. Then when the show was about to finish, I felt comfortable. However, I learned that if you're going to do a show like this, you have to breathe and try to relax so you won't feel like the people that are listening don't understand you.

My name is Danilo Xavier Carrin Conza. I was born in Ecuador on April 27, 1989. When I was five years old, I came to the United States and I went to kindergarten in New Jersey. In 1995 I went back to my country and I studied there 1st, 2nd, 3 rd, and 4th, grade. In 1999 I came back for the second time to the United States, where I finished fifth grade. I got excellent grades and made the honor roll. For economic reasons I had to go back to Ecuador in 2000, where I studied 6th, 7th and 8th grade. After that, in February 2003, I came back for the third time, and found Liberty High School to study the 9th grade. Currently I live in Manhattan, New York. I am a very responsible person, I like to do every thing right. I am a shy and quiet human being. I like to take care of other people and I do not like to fight with anybody. I am very friendly; I like to choose my friends and learn difficult things. My hobbies are: reading and listening to instrumental music. My favorite color is blue. My goals for the future are: becoming a computer professional and get a good job, so my parents will be proud of me. I would like to get married when I am thirty years old and have a nice family. I will work and I live for them.

We went to the radio station, WNYE, in Brooklyn to talk about many things. We talked about the life of the group since the first day we came to the United States.

When we got to the radio station, we felt a little nervous because we couldn't express ourselves well in English. With time, we lost our fears and we started talking more easily. They asked questions, for example, about my life in my country of Equador, immigrant experiences, the problems that we have in our families, what we want to do when we become adults, etc....

The students who asked us questions were very nice and understanding when we made mistakes. Because of that, I felt more relaxed.

When we finished the questions, we felt well and calm and also proud because we had finished the radio program well. The experience helped me to feel good about myself....Christian Lopez D.
