here's the situation if you have a linux server the account manager will
be posted on a web site monday morning in a nice handy little rpm along
with the dependent rpms and instructions how to install it. this system
will not run on win2k but if you are using win2k clients or apple
clients on a linux server yes it will work.
the one note this system has not been tested on Redhat Linux however it
has been thoroughly tested on SuSE Linux 7.2, 7.3, and 8.0
because netinfo and active directory are both LDAP based further LDAP
development must be done before i can make versions for win2k or Apple
in addition windows has a problem with databases it can not reliably run
a real RDBM database such as Postgresql or DB2 only ODBC's such as MS
Access. in fact oracle has publicly denounced the windows platform and
stated the can not guaranty the stability of their databases on the
windows platform because of flaws in the base design of windows. for
this reason Win2k will be last in the development curve for the account
manager. un like Mac OSX Win2k will require a complete rewrite from
scratch it will be a completely different program designed to look and
act the same as the other version( Linux/MacOSX )
now if what you want is samba config files that will be posted soon
