Hello folks.
As some of you know, I answered a query on the progressive ed network posted
by WABC regarding our concern regarding the new standardized curriculum that
the DOE is implementing in NYC schools. We did the interview on Tuesday at
Children's Workshop School, and it included my (not as informed but doing
his best) husband Ron, Judy Garnar-Wortzel (our very articulate PTA
president) and me as well as an interview with Chancellor Klein. We have no
idea how it will be edited, but have our fingers crossed that it will get
our message across about the value of personalized progressive curriculums
like ours, and how important it is to support them.
It's on WABC TV, Channel 7, at 5:30.
Anyone who is willing to tape...it would be appreciated as we won't be home
when it airs.
