Dear Education Advocates:  
There are three pieces of interest in today's WSS.  The West Side Spirit is 
owned by Manhattan Media.  Its articles usually appear in other Mnahattan Media 
neighborhood weeklies.    
--an article about Tweed's probable policy restricting the ability of schools 
and districts to generate grants, 
--a notice about the upcoming 3/26 PENNY rally in front of Tweed, and 
--a short piece in "Education Briefs" that quotes Sanders as saying that 
consideration of the State Task Force Report has been delayed because of budget 
discussions.  Sanders predicts that neither the Senate or Assembly will meet on 
the issue until late March or early April.
