Landmark Finishes Season 8-9 With 89-70 Victory Over University Neighborhood
Alvaro Tavarez played like he had something to prove. In his last game as a Landmark Senior, he was a beast on the boards and pulled down 9 rebounds in the first quarter. He finished the game with 15 rebounds.
After a close first half, the Legends began to pull away and sealed the game with a 30 point fourth quarter. Juan Perdomo and Antonio Matos led the team in scoring with 33 points and 29 points. Domingo
Garcia had 13 points and 10 assists and Gerald and Kirk contributed 6 points each.
After losing their first 6 games this year, the Legends came together, started playing as a team, and went 8-3 for the rest of their season. The seniors worked hard and will be missed, but the Legends will also return a solid core of players for a promising team next year.
