Music and Learning Celebrated at Landmark

Monday, The Junior Institute had a celebration of hard work, scholarship and talent. It started started slow with a nosh while the band tuned up. Then, though, the Coalition Landmark Jazz Band blew things open with a bring down the house cover of Carlos Santana's Oy Ye Como Va. The one song was almost enough to steal the show from our young scholars but the students fought back with a fine awards ceremony of their own. The afternoon was a true celebration of talent. Those of you who couldn't make it can get a tiny hint of things by clicking here. Thanks and congratulations go out to students, parents, teachers, Nancy Sakas and Bette Midler.
