Daniel Arias, a student at Landmark High School will be flying to Dallas, Texas for the Scholastic K12 Nationals. He will be playing for a $35000 chess scholarship.

Danny has been doing an intensive training every Sunday and receives private lessons with two master teachers, Miguel Inguez and Raul Marquaz. He also teaches kindergarten in a public school, training children how to play chess. Danny is the top player at Landmark and is a member of the Landmark chess club. The chess club meets regulary on Tuesday right after school. Games are in Dennis' room and all are welcome. Come play Danny or an easier match against one of the teachers.

Danny is a good student and we are proud to have him represent us in Dallas.
