Squid Takes Over Junior Institute Biology Classes

Laura, Eric, and Chris are at it again.... The Junior Institute biology classes have launched into the school year with a dissection activity involving squid. In each classroom I visited students were actively engaged as scientists learning about the various parts of the squid. The atmosphere in each room was serious and the activity was well organized by the teachers. Students showed me the gills, which were feathery...reminding me of an old fashioned ink pen. I always wondered about the ink...and behold students showed me the inksac (to see for yourself, click here). Thanks for the invitation...it was a pleasure.
