Landmark Legends

Legends Fall Just Short

In their second game of the season, the Landmark Legends boys basketball ball team fell short in the result against Manhattan Village Academy. First year players Kyle Gordon, and Antonio Matos scored their first points and even the spirited efforts of the team could not overcome the opponent. Co-captains Flurgencio and Leo vow to motivate the guys for the next game against Baruch High School.

The lack of interior defense and transition defense really hurt the team this time around but the Legends overcame the odds and played the opponent evenly in the second half. Team chemistry has yet to peak but the Legends are traditionally a second half of the season team. It seems from observation that this particular team is ahead of previous years teams'. They've already scored 50+ points in the first game; last years team didn't surpass 50 points until game seven. The future is looking bright for the Legends, cheer them on!
