Legends Walk Through the Valle of the Shadow of Marta, But They Fear No Evil

The boys basketball team improved its record to 4-0 with a 62-51 victory over Marta Valle Secondary School.
The boys basketball team survived an early scare from Marta Valle, who led 16-14 after the first quarter. A boisterous crowd and an underestimated Marta Valle squad put a litlle fear into the Legends.
A strong second second quarter quelled that fear. Led by 8 second quarter points from Cecil and 6 second quarter points from Gerald, the Legends built a 9 point lead by halftime.
In the second half, Antonio began to heat up. After scoring only four points in the first half, he got 18 in the second half, including 2 three-pointers in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
Throughout the game, the Legends were led by Angel Lantigua, who had 9 points, 8 assists, and 7 steals, finishing close to a triple-double. Jihad Ford added 13 rebounds and 9 points.
The Legends next opponent is Manhattan Village Academy this Friday at Basketball City.
