Legends Thwart LaGuardia Run

After building a 19 point lead in the first half, the boys basketball team shot down LaGuardia's comeback to win 50-43 and improve their record to 10-1.
After a low scoring first quarter, the Legends exploded in the second quarter to build a 19 point lead. Angel, Antonio, Jihad, Kirk, and Cecil all contributed points in the second quarter.
LaGuardia cut the lead to 9 at the half, and continued to chip away at the lead through the third and fourth quarters. With 5 minutes remaining in the game, LaGuardia took the lead for the first time, 43-41. On the next trip down the court, Antonio hit a three-pointer to put the Legends back on top 44-41, and they managed to hold on and win 50-43 by hitting some key free throws and grabbing some huge rebounds down the stretch.
