Boys Basketball tightens defense in the fourth quarter to beat Chelsea 70 - 38.
Landmark played close with Chelsea, a much larger school, in the first half. The Legends led most of the way, but it was a close 23 - 20 at the half.
In the second half, the Legends tightened up the defense. No shots went uncontested, and Chelsea only scored 18 in the second half. Chelsea never got second chances, as Jihad gathered 11 of his 20 rebounds in the second half. And sometimes they didn't get a first chance- Jihad had 3 blocks and Kirk had four, including a monster block that led to a layup by Antonio. At the same time, Landmark fired up its offense behind Antonio (9 points in 3rd quarter, Gerald (6 points in third quarter), Kenneth (9 points in fourth quarter), and Jose (6 points in fourth quarter).
In the end, Landmark beat Chelsea by 32 points, 70 - 38. Here are the scoring stats:
