Boys basketball team wins final game of regular season and wraps up first ever Manhattan III-B championship for the Legends.
The game was much closer than it needed to be. After building an 11 - 2 lead early in the first quarter, the Legends let Marta Valle right back into the game. Late in the game, Marta Valle led by as many as 7 points, but the Legends found a way to win once again.
The victory gives Landmark a 17 - 1 record for the regular season (20-3 overall). Landmark played in the Manhattan Borough tournament last week, but lost to a tough FDA team. FDA ended up winning the tournament by beating 2nd seed Wadleigh last night by almost 30 points.
The PSAL B-Division tournament, which matches up the best B teams from all five boroughs, begins next week. The tournament schedule will be announced tomorrow on psal.org.
