Freemen beat BDR 7-4
The Freemen beat Team BDR a third time to remain undefeated in the Senior Institute Football League (SIFL). The Freemen were led by Henry Diaz, who stepped in for the ailing Oscar Grullon at QB.
Team BDR showed improvement once again, but it was still not enough to beat the Freemen. Touchdowns were scored by Cecilio, Allen, Erik, Victor, Tony, Ferby, and others (this reporter lost his notes).
MVP awards go to Cecilio Jalil who returned a key interception for a TD, and the always-productive Allen "Scruff" McGriff who again scored multiple TDs. Most improved goes to Victor "man to man" Manon who contributed a TD and an interception for Team BDR.
There is no game Wednesday, so the next matchup between these two teams is on Friday. Will the Freemen continue their streak? Can Team BDR hand them their first loss? These and many other burning questions will be answered Friday afternoon on the field.
