Hydropower

Mini hydropower (MHP) is an increasingly
important means of generating primary electricity using the water resources
of small rivers, particularly in areas remote from the national grid.
In accordance with the UN's definition MHP is classified as being where
the installed capacity of the station is between 0.5MW and 2MW. MHP is
a well-developed technology, sided by new design techniques, and is appropriate
for both developed and developing countries
