Manhattan Village Academy offers a quality college preparatory education in a safe learning environment. It is an alternative high school that offers portfolio based instruction.

The Application process commences in the fall of the eighth grade year. This school is represented at the High School Fairs at Laguardia High School. There are two Open Houses held at Manhattan Village Academy. Consult your junior high counselor for application deadlines

Manhattan Village Academy is an educational option school. The attendance and lateness records are scrutinized, as are junior high school grades and reading/math standardized test scores. It is advised that the student visits the school and becomes familiar with our program.

Manhattan Village Academy received well over 1,000 applications for the 90-100 seats it had open for the Fall 1999 semester. This is a testament to the competitive nature of the school and the positive reputation it has worked hard to establish.
