Goals
• To provide students with an awareness of the fragile nature of the natural environment
• To provide students with the skills to critically analyze current events and government actions and policies
• To carry out controlled experiments and write a science research paper
• To prepare students for the Living Environment Regents Exam and the Satellite Science portfolio

Requirements for 2 Credits
1. 95% attendance
2. 2500 class points
3. Satisfactory rating at mid-semester evaluation
4. Satisfactory rating of class portfolio contents and presentation
5. Satisfactory completion of the Environmental Research Project

Required Materials
3 ring Binder, 16 dividers, 50 sheets paper, writing materials
