  • The New York State Education Department's Office of Workforce Development has consolidated information about all aspects of GED administration onto this site.
  • GED Testing Service This site indexes up-to-the-minute articles from the GED Testing Service as well as past articles from GED Items.
  • New York State Professional Development Consortia Visit this site for links to literacy and adult education initiatives throughout New York State.
  • New York Times Lesson Plans This resource for teachers, parents, and students in grades 3-12 provides actitivies and lesson plans related to the day's news as well as a comprehensive archive of standards-based lessons. As an added bonus, the site offers crossword puzzles based upon curricular areas.
  • Health and Wellness Science items on GED 2002 will focus upon the science in our students' everyday lives. This site contains brief articles about health issues and links vistors to extensive resources.
  • Literacy Assistance Center As one of the New York State Professional Development Consortia, the Literacy Assistance Center publishes a monthly newsletter and offers myriad conferences and workshops.
  • History Resources GED 2002 Social Studies includes at least one excerpt from the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Federalist Papers, or landmark Supreme Court decisions. This site links visitors to many national documents. Document Analysis Worksheets provide teachers and students with the tools of historians.
  • Math and Science Resources The Eisenhower National Clearinghouse indexes math and science lessons by topic. Many of the science experiments may be replicated in classrooms with minimal technical equipment.

  • Global Issues, Math, and Science Population Connection (formerly known as Zero Population Growth) offers a number of free lessons and simulations and its online catalogue features activites for students of all ages and abilities.
  • Minnesota Workforce Center GED 2002 underscores the importance of lifeskills and workplace documents. This site provides excellent resources for Test 1 (Language Arts, Writing) and Test 4 (Language Arts, Reading).
