The Campaign for Fiscal Equity and Robert Jackson needs volunteers and walkers for its WALK A MILE FOR YOUR CHILD walk from NYC to Albany -- a walk to support fair funding for our schools. Robert Jackson, lead plaintiff in CFE v State case, plans to lead the walk through Manhattan, the Bronx, Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Columbia and Albany Counties. The walk will begin on May 1st at the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court (25th St and Madison Ave) and end in front of the Court of Appeals on May 8, when CFE v State will be head by the Court of Appeals.
In addition to walkers, we need volunteers starting this week and through the walk to help plan and carry out the logistics of the walk. We need helpers to make phone calls, solicit in-kind donations from local business owners, do outreach to local schools and civic groups, help collate materials for mailings, and help with the day to day logistics of the walk.
If you have some time between now and May 8 to give us a hand, please email me back or call me at (212) 867-8455 ext. 218.
Thanks!
Jessica
