[ProgressiveEd] Meeting with Joel Klein and Michele Cahill

Hi,
One thing I was not clear on from the description of the meeting with Klein
and Cahill, was how they addressed the issue of parental choice.  There
seems to have been some discussion about it in relation to "No Child Left
Behind", but there are other issues that we wanted to have clarified that
had to do with selecting the school your child attends (eg, "schools of
choice") and having some say over the way your child is educated, that have
nothing to with the Federal government's programs.
Did this get  discussed at all?
