Amboy
Street Shelter |
The
Amboy GED Program is housed in a homeless shelter that is under
the auspices of Help New Horizon. The agency provides students
with a computer clubhouse with a state of the art music studio,
digital video cameras and Photoshop. The mission of the staff
here at Amboy is to service students in the shelter and in the
community with an academic setting that allows student’s
needs to be met. Students are rewarded for excellent attendance
with a student of the month award. In addition, students receive
awards after completing a math level. The teacher and paraprofessional
work closely with parents to ensure a high level of student attendance
and success. |
