WHAT YOU WILL DO:

1. Choose a group of 3 to work with.

2. As a group, follow directions for "love poems." See link above.

a) Analysis of poems: do this together. Write it on one piece of paper.

b) Poetry writing: each person must write one.

*Hand in your work in one folder.

PRESENTATIONS:

Choose from one of the following products:

a) Valentine's cards

Create greeting cards using your original love poetry. Sell these to other students in school. The money you collect we can use towards a class trip.

b) Web Page

Design a web page showcasing your original poetry. We will post this on our cluster web site.

c) Critical Lens Essay

Write individual essays using 2 works of love poetry and a critical lens for both. This will be handed in.

d) Romeo and Juliet

Act out the balcony scene from this Shakespearean play. Once you have translated this scene and rehearsed it, you will act it out in front of the class. (Or, bring in a love scene from a different play that you think would be interesting to portray.)
