CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR - (Minimum Requirements)
School begins at 8 A.M. sharp!
Be in your seat and ready to work by the time the
bell rings at the beginning of class.
Bring all necessary materials to class. Put away
all unrelated materials. All remarks should be focused upon what
is being discussed in class. Hands should be raised before speaking.
Keep hands, feet, and possessions to yourself.
Be RESPECTFUL TO OTHERS.
No profanity.
No food/drink, without special permission.
Develop good work habits
HALLWAYS - No student is to be in the hallway
during class time without a pre-signed pass (completed filled out
with date, student's name to whom/where the student is to report,
and sending teacher's signature). OPEN CONTAINERS (i.e. seal/cap
loosened or broken) are not allowed in the corridors.
RADIOS/WALKMEN/CD PLAYERS - are NOT allowed
in the school building during regular school hours.
PHONE/BEEPERS/PAGERS - No student is to ask
for a pass to use the phone during a class period. In case of an
emergency, a student may ask for a pass to report to the office
to use a telephone. Office staff cannot take messages for the students.
Students are not allowed to carry pagers/beepers or phones as per
Board of Education Policy.
DRESS AND APPEARANCE
"You never get a second chance to make a first impression."
Students should strive to be neat and clean, and take pride in their
appearance. All students are asked to use good judgement in neatness
and appropriateness of dress and personal appearance when in school
and when attending school activities. Clothing with lettering that
conveys profane, obscene or immoral meanings will not be permitted.
Monday and Wednesday are dress for success days (letter sent home
on 9/29/00). Absolutely no Scarves, Du Raggs, Hats, Coats, Bandanas,
Headbands, Wristbands, Leg bands, and/or beads are to be worn during
any school time and/or activity!!
