The College Now Program is a joint effort between the New
York City Board of Education and the City University of New York
(CUNY). It is designed to improve the preparation and support of
its students as they move from high school to college and beyond.
Specifically, the goals of College Now are:
- to improve high school students' ability to meet graduation
requirements and to be prepared ofr college;
- to facilitate students' ability to make a seamless transition
from high school to college;
- to increase to likelihood that students enroll at and graduate
from CUNY colleges.
Each high school will enroll 100 students. In each of the following
years, services will continue to be provided to those enrolled as
ninth graders and a new cohort for entering ninth graders will be
established.
Students at Wings Academy are being supported by Lehman College.
